Like you, I am lucky to call Pasadena home. For over 15 years now, I have lived in Bungalow Heaven. This neighborhood, like all the neighborhoods in District 2, exemplifies so many things that are wonderful about Pasadena. We have a sense of community, a sense of place, and a shared goal to do what’s best for our City.
Pasadena has a rich tradition of involvement, volunteerism, and community engagement, and for the past 9 years, I have been actively serving our community. As Councilmember Margaret McAustin’s appointee to many commissions and boards, I have worked hard to make sure people have a voice at City Hall. I want to continue that strong tradition. And I want to elevate it — making sure we hear a diversity of voices and making sure everyone is welcome to participate in their government.
A challenge we face now is figuring out how to preserve the Pasadena we know and love, while acknowledging and embracing the need for Pasadena to move forward. Pasadena is a great place, but there’s more that we can do. We need housing that is affordable for everyone so we can keep the economic and social diversity that has made Pasadena a vibrant community. We need to solve our homelessness crisis. We need to make sure our City is sustainable into the future. Pasadena can, and should, be the leader on all of these issues.
My years of involvement in Pasadena coupled with my years of working in local government make me particularly qualified to represent you. I have the experience and the perspective to know how to lead. I know how to make decisions. And, most importantly, I know how to get good things done.
I would be honored to represent District 2 and be your voice at City Hall.
All the best,
